The strong waves of the river water pushed the turbines that generated compressed air. This compressed air was used as fuel to run the machinery of the silver mines. Then not until 1917, the mill ceased its working due to the abandoning of nearby factories and mines. 

In 1985, this Crystal Mill was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Since then, it has been a getaway for many people.
